The local market is expected to grow to $23.1 billion by 2030, at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 17.1% between 2025 and 2030.
The data indicated that smartphone advertising represented the largest component in terms of revenues in 2024, and this sector is expected to continue to record the fastest growth rate in the local market in the coming years, remaining the primary driver of increased advertising spending in the digital environment.
Globally, the digital advertising market is expected to exceed $1.15 trillion by 2030, with a CAGR of approximately 15.4%. The global smartphone advertising sector recorded revenues exceeding $278.7 billion in 2024, making it the most profitable and fastest-growing sector in the global digital market. In terms of geographic regions, North America was the largest revenue-generating market, while Australia is expected to achieve the highest annual growth rate between 2025 and 2030.
The “Digital 2025” report showed that Saudi Arabia continues to strengthen its position as one of the most digitally connected countries in 2025, with high rates of mobile phone, internet, and social media usage.
The report indicated that the number of active mobile phone subscriptions in the Kingdom reached 48.1 million, representing a 40% increase in the population, as individuals use more than one SIM card. The number of internet users also reached 33.9 million, with a penetration rate of 99%.
On social media platforms, the number of active social media users in the Kingdom reached approximately 34.1 million, representing 99.6% of the population. The report noted that approximately 100.6% of the Kingdom’s internet user base uses social media platforms, reflecting the prevalence of multiple accounts per person on more than one platform.
