The General Authority for Statistics revealed that the Kingdom’s real GDP grew by 2.7% during the first quarter of 2025, compared to the first quarter of 2024. This comes as part of its efforts to achieve high levels of compliance with international standards and data quality. Accordingly, the annual and quarterly GDP series were updated at current and constant prices.

The Authority added that seasonally adjusted real GDP grew by 0.9% in the first quarter of 2025, compared to the fourth quarter of the previous year, 2024. This growth was due to a 4.9% increase in government activities, in addition to a 1.0% growth in non-oil activities, while oil activities declined by 1.2% quarter-on-quarter.
