Japan’s Nikkei closes down 0.68%
The Nikkei index fell on Monday after Moody’s downgrade of the United States’ credit rating raised concerns about investor aversion to US assets, leading to a rise in the yen.
The Nikkei index closed down 0.68% to 37,498.63.
The broader Topix index fell 0.08% to 2,738.39.
