European stock indices open mixed
European stock markets saw a mixed start to Monday’s session, with British markets closed for a bank holiday. Investors awaited the latest economic data and corporate earnings reports for the week.
The pan-European STOXX 600 index was steady at 536.29 points, while the German DAX index rose 0.33% to 23,161.90 points, while the French CAC 40 index fell 0.33% to 7,745.49 points.
