European stock indices open higher
European indices rose at the start of trading on Thursday, awaiting the Bank of England’s decision and following the US Federal Reserve’s decision to hold interest rates steady.
In trading, the STOXX 600 index rose 0.3% to 535 points.
The German DAX index rose 0.7% to 23,294 points, while the British FTSE rose 0.2% to 8,572 points, and the French CAC 40 rose 0.6% to 7,670 points.
