Saudi Minister of Media: Transparency and openness with citizens are among the most important pillars of the transformation journey, The Kingdom leads the G20 in security and safety

Salman Al-Dosari, Minister of Media, emphasized that transparency and openness with citizens have become among the most important pillars of the national transformation process, as citizens are the most important partner in this major development journey.

This came during a speech on the sidelines of a government press conference in which the Minister highlighted the annual report of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. He said: “Let me begin with you in 2024, the year of significant figures. Saudi Arabia’s vision always precedes numbers and time, and its achievements defy expectations. We have achieved great successes before we realized their magnitude.”

Al-Dosari added that “Saudi Vision 2030 is the greatest success story of the 21st century; it inspires creativity, builds the land, and makes history.”

The Minister of Media explained that the annual report of Saudi Vision 2030 for 2024 is not limited to presenting achievements only, but also includes reviewing the goals that have not yet been achieved, which is natural in a major and ambitious construction process of this magnitude. He pointed out that the existence of some gaps reflects the transparency emphasized by the wise leadership, which all state officials are keen to maintain.

In another context, the Minister of Media announced that the Kingdom topped the G20 countries in the security and safety index, stressing that this achievement reflects the leadership’s constant concern for citizens and its commitment to meeting their needs, especially in vital sectors such as housing.

Al-Dosari pointed out that the recent decisions, announced about a month ago, aimed to achieve balance in the real estate sector, noting the leadership’s continued support for housing projects. He added, “Today, we followed the announcement of the largest personal donation to development housing, amounting to one billion riyals. This support is independent of current and future programs, and reflects a deep belief in the importance of charitable work to support associations and development projects in the Kingdom of goodness and giving.”

Al-Dosari reviewed the most prominent features of the annual report on Saudi Vision 2030 for the year 2024, indicating that the implementation of the vision is proceeding according to plan, with 85% of initiatives completed or progressing according to plan. 93% of the indicators of the national programs and strategies related to the vision have been achieved. He concluded his remarks by emphasizing that the path to the vision, despite the challenges, has always been paved with the determination of the leadership and the ambition of the Saudi people, who know nothing is impossible.
