SAMA’s assets rise to 1.87 trillion riyals

The Saudi Central Bank revealed that assets rose to 1.872 trillion riyals by the end of February, an increase of approximately 1.35 billion riyals, or 0.07%, compared to their levels in January 2024, which were 1.871 trillion riyals.

According to the Central Bank’s bulletin for February 2025, assets increased by 95.9 billion riyals, or 5.4%, compared to their levels in the same month of 2024, which were 1.778 trillion riyals.

According to the bulletin, assets increased in February 2025 compared to the same month in 2024, despite a 3.3% decrease in deposits at banks abroad, reaching SAR 333.8 billion, compared to SAR 345.2 billion in 2024. Investments in securities abroad decreased to SAR 991.9 billion, a 0.1% decrease from SAR 993.3 billion in 2024. Other assets increased by approximately 59.7%, while foreign exchange and gold rose by 6.9%. The Saudi Central Bank’s assets consist of foreign exchange and gold, cash on hand, deposits at banks abroad, investments in securities abroad, and other assets.
