MBC Group announced on Tuesday, April 08 that its board of directors has accepted the resignation of CEO Samuel James Kilion Barnett, effective April 30, 2025.
The board also approved the appointment of Michael John Sneesby as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer, with his term beginning May 1, 2025.
According to the company’s statement on Tadawul, Sneesby is a seasoned executive in the media industry, bringing with him extensive global experience. He most recently served as CEO of Nine Entertainment Co., the largest media company in Australia. Prior to that, he founded and led “Stan”, a major streaming platform, developing it into one of the most successful in the region. He also previously held leadership roles as CEO of Cudo, an e-commerce platform, and Vice President of IPTV Services at Intigral.
Sneesby holds an MBA from Macquarie University and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wollongong, both in Australia.
