Japanese stocks close at three-week high
Japanese stocks closed at their highest level in three weeks on Wednesday, boosted by a strong recovery on Wall Street that prompted investors to flock to technology and auto stocks.
The Nikkei index rose 1.89% to 34,868.63 points.
The broader Topix index jumped 2.06% to 2,584.32 points.
