The Saudi Central Bank’s monthly bulletin for February 2025 revealed that the profits of banks operating in the Kingdom, before zakat and taxes, rose by 21.4% to 8.252 billion riyals by the end of February 2025, compared to 6.795 billion riyals in February 2024. This increase was also reflected in an increase of approximately 109 million riyals, or 1.3%, compared to 8.143 billion riyals in January 2025. It is noteworthy that the profits of banks operating in Saudi Arabia, before zakat and taxes, increased by 15.1% to SAR 89.097 billion by the end of 2024, compared to SAR 77.397 billion in the previous year (2023). These profits, before zakat and taxes, are the highest in Saudi Arabia’s history. Consolidated profits include the results of Saudi banks operating in the Kingdom without overseas branches, as well as branches of foreign banks operating in the Kingdom.
