Umm Al-Qura Cement signs an agreement to implement a project to establish a power transmission station

Umm Al-Qura Cement Company announced the signing of an agreement with the National Electricity Transmission Company, a subsidiary of the Saudi Electricity Company, to implement a project to establish a power transmission station with the aim of providing electricity service to its factory located in Radwan – Taif with an electrical load of (37.5 MVA) within the liquid fuel displacement program according to the signed agreement valid until the end of 2025 or until the project is completed.

The company said in a statement today on “Tadawul” that this agreement comes as an extension of the work of the energy system and the industry and mineral wealth system to achieve the targets of liquid fuel displacement. The project will contribute to reducing emissions resulting from electricity production within the company’s facilities. And increasing the reliability of the network’s operational processes without a material financial impact.
