Gold prices rose on Thursday amid concerns over retaliatory US tariffs.
Spot gold rose 0.5 percent to $3,033.20 per ounce.
US gold futures rose 0.6 percent to $3,039.
Among other precious metals, spot silver fell 0.1 percent to $33.68 per ounce, platinum fell 0.3 percent to $971.6, and palladium lost 0.4 percent to $964.01.
Traders fear that the retaliatory tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump, expected to take effect on April 2, could lead to higher inflation and slow economic growth.
