GCC Countries Begin End-of-Term Review of Anti-Dumping Duty on Cement Imports from Iran

The General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) announced the decision of the GCC Permanent Committee for Combating Injurious Practices in International Trade to initiate an end-of-term review of anti-dumping duty on GCC imports of unground agglomerated cement (called “clinker”) originating or exported from the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Muhaidib, Director General of the Technical Secretariat Office at the GCC General Secretariat, explained that these measures are in accordance with the Unified Law on Anti-Dumping, Countervailing and Safeguard Measures of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and its Implementing Regulations. He noted that the GCC Permanent Committee for Combating Injurious Practices in International Trade has decided to accept the complaint and initiate investigation procedures.
