European stocks open higher, STOXX 600 up 0.4%
European markets started the new week higher, after the uncertainty and volatility that prevailed in global markets recently.
The STOXX 600 rose by 0.4% in early trading on Monday, with most sectors and all major exchanges recording gains.
The French CAC 40 index rose by about 0.5% to 8,161.21 points, and the British FTSE 100 index rose by 0.11% to 8,688.52 points.
The German DAX index rose by 0.3% to 23,090.24 points.
