European stocks mixed after central bank statements

European markets traded mixed on Thursday, as investors awaited monetary policy announcements from the Bank of England, the Swiss National Bank, and Sweden’s central bank, the Riksbank.

The pan-European STOXX 600 index rose 0.17% to 556.33 points, while the German DAX index rose 0.04% to 23,297.47 points.

The UK’s FTSE 100 index rose 0.31% to 8,733.55 points, while the French CAC 40 index fell 0.18% to 8,158.58 points.
