European markets higher: Stoxx Europe 600 index rises 0.43%
European markets opened higher on Tuesday, amid uncertainty over the scope and impact of trade tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump.
The Stoxx Europe 600 index rose 0.43% to 551.27 points, and the German DAX index rose 0.11% to 22,873.76 points.
The British FTSE 100 index jumped 0.39% to 8,665.75 points, while the French CAC 40 index rose 0.43% to 8,056.85 points.
