European markets decline: Stoxx Europe 600 index down 0.13%

European markets opened lower on Thursday, as a result of US President Donald Trump’s tariff policies, which are reshaping global trade relations.

The broader Stoxx Europe 600 index fell 0.13% to 540.52 points, and the German DAX index fell 0.64% to 22,523.98 points.

The British FTSE 100 index fell to 8,538.34 points, and the French CAC 40 index fell by about 0.5% to 7,948.39 points.
