SeedFord Investment Company Backs Privateer in Global Expansion of Earth Intelligence and AI Solutions

SeedFord, a venture capital firm specializing in advanced technologies, particularly in the space sector, has announced its investment in Privateer, a leading company in space imaging and surveillance services. Notably, Privateer was co-founded by Apple pioneer Steve Wozniak, along with a group of experts in the field. The agreement was signed during the LEAP conference, and SeedFord will work with Privateer to open a branch in Saudi Arabia and expand its operations in the Kingdom.

This aligns with Saudi Vision 2030 and is supported by the Communications, Space & Technology Commission (CST). The CST has contributed to enabling the space market, attracting foreign investments, and connecting technology companies with investors as part of its efforts to support the development of the space sector in Saudi Arabia.

Eng. Fahad Al Hussain, co-founder of SeedFord, stated that attracting a distinguished company like Privateer will support the Earth observation market from space in Saudi Arabia and bring the best expertise and practices to the field. He added that SeedFord continues to invest in leading space companies and is working in coordination with the CST to attract the best international companies in this field.

SeedFord, the first of its kind in the Kingdom to invest in space startups, was launched during the LEAP 2024 international technology conference to enable the space industry and stimulate capacity building. This initiative, with contributions from the CST, aims to stimulate innovation and develop entrepreneurship in the space sector by connecting promising technology companies with investment entities and funds. This will contribute to the development of the space ecosystem in Saudi Arabia. SeedFord has also launched several programs to enable space entrepreneurship in the Kingdom.
