Saudi Central Bank Assets Reach 1.87 Trillion Riyals

The Saudi Central Bank revealed that assets decreased to 1.871 trillion riyals by the end of last January by about 10.4 billion riyals, or 0.6%, from their levels in December 2024, which were 1.881 trillion riyals.

According to the Central Bank’s bulletin for January 2025, which was issued a short while ago, assets increased by 54.1 billion riyals, or 3%, from what they were in the same month of 2024, which was 1.817 trillion riyals.

According to the bulletin, assets increased during January 2025 compared to the same month in 2024, despite a 7.3% decrease in deposits in banks abroad, reaching 337.5 billion riyals, compared to 364.16 billion in 2024, while investments in securities abroad decreased to 998.6 billion riyals, by 0.6% compared to 2024, which was 1005.1 billion riyals, while other assets increased by about 43.5%, and foreign currency and gold increased by 6.6%. The assets of the Saudi Central Bank consist of foreign currency and gold, cash on hand, deposits in banks abroad, investments in securities abroad, in addition to other assets.
