SASCO Announces Cancellation of Riyadh General Court Ruling Ordering Ministry of Municipalities and Housing to Pay SAR 8.2 Million, Lawsuit Dismissed

Saudi Automotive Services Company (SASCO) announced on Sunday the issuance of a ruling to cancel the ruling issued in its favour obligating the Ministry of Housing to pay the Company an amount of SAR 8.2 million, the value of the fair rent for the deduction of part of SASCO’s land located on the Hafar Al-Batin Road, and dismissing the lawsuit.

It stated that after the defendant submitted a request to cancel the ruling, the appeal was accepted in form and substance and the ruling issued by the General Court in Riyadh was cancelled and the lawsuit was dismissed.

The Company explained that it will take legal measures to preserve its right in the case and file an appeal against the ruling issued, as it proved this amount in its statements in 2019, so this amount will be reflected in the financial statements for the year 2024.

This comes in reference to its announcement on the Tadawul website on Feb. 25, 2019 regarding the issuance of a final judicial ruling in its favour obligating the Ministry of Housing to pay an amount of SAR 8,217,461.
