Russia has issued a decision to extend the gasoline export ban for 6 months starting from March, with an exception for producing companies, according to the Russian state news agency.
In March 2024, Russia issued a decision to ban gasoline exports to dealers and resale companies, but the decision included allowing exports to large oil companies.
This decision came last year after a significant increase in fuel prices in wholesale markets, in addition to the risks of reduced supplies to the Russian market, according to Reuters.
There is another exception to this ban, which is allowing gasoline exports to the countries of the Russian-led Eurasian Economic Union, which is a bloc that includes five former Soviet countries, and countries such as Mongolia that have concluded fuel supply agreements with Moscow.
