In line with its objective to empower future leaders in sustainability, the Ministry of Economy and Planning’s ‘Sustainability Champions’ program announced the successful completion of a significant milestone with the selection of Future Sustainability Champions. 63 companies from diverse industries across Saudi Arabia will join the initiative which aims to enhance corporate sustainability in the Kingdom by fostering unique collaborations among leading companies across crucial sectors.

In April 2024, the Ministry launched the Sustainability Champions program on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum Special Meeting on Global Collaboration, Growth and Energy for Development in Riyadh. Under the program, the ‘Champions,’ leading companies known for integrating sustainable practices into their operations, will support other entities, the Future Champions, to enhance their sustainability practices.

Through this initiative, Future Champions will receive mentorship from experienced corporate Champions, enabling them to accelerate the adoption of sustainable practices, drive innovation, and foster impactful collaborations across key sectors. These partnerships will play a pivotal role in advancing sustainability efforts across Saudi Arabia’s corporate landscape.

Several leading companies have already joined the Sustainability Champions Program, demonstrating their commitment to shaping a more sustainable future for the Kingdom.
