Hyundai receives $389 million to build power transmission lines in Saudi Arabia

South Korean construction giant Hyundai Engineering & Construction said Monday it has received $389 million in orders to build power transmission lines in the kingdom.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Hyundai Engineering & Construction has received two separate orders from the Saudi Electricity Company to build 380-kilovolt power transmission lines in Medina and Jeddah by November 2027, according to a press release from the company.

It added that 491 kilometers of power transmission lines will be installed from solar power plants in the western part of the kingdom to substations in Medina and Jeddah.
