Mohammed Abdullah Al-Jadaan, Minister of Finance, said that cooperation with the International Monetary Fund includes an important matter, which is interest in emerging economies, as the Fund must gain more confidence and information when dealing with these economies.
Al-Jadaan added, during his participation in the activities of the Al-Ula Conference for Emerging Markets Economies, “We have something to tell the world, and during the Al-Ula Conference we talked about negative and positive things, and the world must understand the problems facing emerging economies.”
He explained that advanced economies have many things that they must discuss to help other countries, by listening to pending issues and important problems to better solve any challenges.
The Minister of Finance continued: “I went to the G20 meetings and there was a lot of pressure from advanced economies, but I think our voice is heard, and we are not challenging advanced economies, but we want the world to be better by helping emerging economies.”
