Balady Poultry Trading Company said on Monday it had signed a €6.99 million contract with Denmark-based Harslev Company to supply and oversee the installation and operation of solid waste treatment lines for its poultry slaughterhouse.
Harslev, a global leader in poultry waste treatment solutions, will provide equipment capable of handling waste from the company’s new slaughterhouse and meat processing facility, which has a daily capacity of 500,000 birds, Balady said in a stock exchange filing.
The contract, signed on Feb. 20, has a duration of 60 weeks, the company added.
Balady said the financial impact of the deal cannot yet be determined but pledged to announce any material developments in due course.
