US private sector adds more jobs than expected in December
The Labor Department reported on Friday that the non-farm private sector added 223,000 jobs in December, well above expectations of 135,000.
The data also revised down the number of jobs added in November to 182,000, compared to a previous estimate of 227,000.
The non-farm payrolls report also showed that 256,000 jobs were added in December 2024, above expectations of 164,000.
