SIRC Begins Construction of Facility for Recycling, Treating Hazardous Medical Waste

The Saudi Investment Recycling Company (SIRC) has started constructing a hazardous medical waste recycling and treatment facility in Jeddah Third Industrial City, with trial operations scheduled to begin in November 2025.
The project aims to provide integrated solutions for managing hazardous medical waste per the latest environmental and health standards. By leveraging advanced international expertise in the field, the facility ensures compliance with environmental regulations, supports environmental sustainability, and promotes a circular economy in alignment with the Saudi Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program.
The project will deliver comprehensive services, including collecting and transporting hazardous medical waste from various healthcare facilities in both the public and private sectors. It seeks to raise community awareness of the best practices for handling hazardous medical waste, ensuring the protection of public health and the environment.
