Saudi Arabia is set to host the fourth edition of the Saudi International Marine Exhibition (SIMEC 2025) from February 3 to 5, 2025, at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center. The event, held under the patronage of Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture Eng. Abdulrahman Abdulmohsen Al-Fadley, underscores the Kingdom’s commitment to advancing the fisheries and aquaculture sector on a global scale.
The exhibition will bring together 21 countries, with participation from more than 120 international and local companies, and is expected to attract over 4,000 business leaders and 15,000 visitors. It aims to serve as a platform for global experts to exchange knowledge and showcase the latest technologies in aquaculture, fisheries, algae production, and fish feed. The event also seeks to encourage local and foreign investment in aquaculture, promote sustainable seafood production, and facilitate discussions with key decision-makers on the future of the sector.
Over 20 technical workshops featuring industry experts, academic institutions, and leading companies will be held alongside the exhibition. Several cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding are expected to be signed between government entities and private sector firms, further strengthening partnerships in the fisheries industry.
The exhibition will also feature interactive events, including the “Cooking Experience with the Chef,” where more than 120 expert chefs and seafood enthusiasts will showcase traditional Saudi seafood dishes. A dedicated business networking program will provide opportunities for industry leaders to engage, while an exhibition area will highlight advancements in fish farming and seafood processing.
Government agencies such as the Agricultural Development Fund, the Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program (REEF Saudi Arabia), the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP), the National Center for Environmental Compliance, King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), and King Abdulaziz University will participate in the event. The exhibition is supported by major sponsors, including Al-Maram Company (main sponsor), Arasco, Naqua, Aqua Bridge Group, SACO, Tharwat Seas, and SALIC, reflecting the industry’s growing significance in the Kingdom. These contributions underscore the exhibition’s significance as a premier platform for advancing the fisheries sector.
