SAMA’s assets increase by 20.2 Billion in a month to 1.88 trillion riyals

The Saudi Central Bank revealed that assets increased to 1.881 Trillion Riyals by the end of last December by about 20.2 billion Riyals, or 1.1%, from their levels in November 2024, which were 1.861 Trillion Riyals.

According to the Central Bank’s bulletin for December 2024, which was issued a short while ago, assets increased by 73.1 billion Riyals, or 4%, from what they were in the same month of 2023, which was 1.808 Trillion Riyals.

According to the bulletin, assets increased during December 2024 compared to the same month in 2023, despite a decrease in deposits in banks abroad by 11.6%, reaching 319.6 billion riyals, compared to 361.745 billion in 2023, while investments in securities abroad increased to 1029.8 billion riyals, by 2.9% compared to 2023, which was 1001.214 billion riyals, while other assets increased by about 41.5%, and foreign currency and gold increased by 6.4%. The assets of the Saudi Central Bank consist of foreign currency and gold, cash on hand, deposits in banks abroad, investments in securities abroad, in addition to other assets.
