Japan’s Nikkei average rose about 1% at the close of trading on Wednesday to 39,414.78 points, ending a three-day losing streak, tracking Wall Street, which recovered from a sell-off sparked by Chinese startup DeepSec’s launch of an artificial intelligence model.

This comes despite the fluctuations in the performance of Japanese technology companies during the day as investors remained cautious, but they closed higher, according to Reuters.

U.S. stocks rose in trading on Tuesday as shares of Nvidia and other technology companies linked to artificial intelligence recovered from sharp losses incurred the previous day.

Investors are now looking to the earnings of major U.S. technology companies and the Federal Reserve’s decision on interest rates.
