Kingdom Holding Company announced the resumption of construction work on the Jeddah Tower and pouring concrete into the global symbol of ambition and progress, in the presence of Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kingdom Holding Company, Eng. Talal bin Ibrahim Al-Maiman, CEO of Kingdom Holding Company, Yeslam bin Laden (Bin Laden Group), Eng. Hassan Sharbatly (Qilaa Jeddah Real Estate Investment Company Limited) and Mohammed Al-Qatari (Abrar International Company Limited).

According to the company, the Jeddah Tower, which will exceed 1,000 meters in height, will become the tallest building in the world, redefining the Jeddah skyline and positioning the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a showcase for architectural excellence and economic opportunity.

Eng. Talal Al-Maiman, CEO of Kingdom Holding Company, said: “Today’s ceremony represents the embodiment of a vision that took years of work. Jeddah Tower will be a beacon of innovation and a catalyst for growth.”

According to the company, Jeddah Economic Company will manage the project in collaboration with world-class architects Adrian Smith and Gordon Gill Architects, and a team of prominent engineers from Thornton Tomasetti and Langan International. The tower will include luxury residential units, commercial spaces, a Four Seasons Hotel and an observation deck offering unique views of Jeddah and the Red Sea. As part of Saudi Vision 2030, Jeddah Tower is in line with the Kingdom’s goals to diversify the economy and promote sustainable urban development. The project is expected to provide significant job opportunities during and after construction.
