AMAK announces closure of copper and zinc concentrate processing plants for periodic maintenance

Al Masane Al Kobra Mining Company (AMAK) announced a scheduled periodic maintenance and closure of the Al-Masane Mine Processing Plant and the Maeid Mine Processing Plant, starting from January 7, 2025, which will last for 5 weeks.

The company said in a statement that this scheduled periodic maintenance closure comes in accordance with the company’s business plan for 2025, and this procedure will contribute to enhancing the reliability of the plants, which supports the achievement of the company’s future operational plans.

It explained that the financial impact will depend on the actual duration of the maintenance and the average selling prices of metals, as the financial impact will be reflected in the financial results for the first quarter of 2025.

It is worth noting that the products of the two factories are copper concentrates and zinc concentrates.
