Mobile Telecommunications Company Saudi Arabia (Zain KSA) announced on Sunday, December 22, the appointment of Eng. Nawaf Hisham Al-Gharabally to a vacant seat on its Board of Directors as a non-executive member.
Eng. Al-Gharabally, currently the CEO of Zain Kuwait, brings over 23 years of extensive experience in the wireless telecommunications sector across Kuwait, the Middle East, and Africa. His contributions include spearheading key network modernization and upgrade initiatives across Zain’s operations, such as:
- Designing and developing Kuwait’s 3G network in 2005.
- Establishing the first wireless telecommunications network in southern Iraq in 2003.
- Leading the complete development of Zain Saudi Arabia’s network in 2007.
In 2019, he played a pivotal role in driving investments that positioned Zain Kuwait as the first company in the Gulf region to launch 5G services.
Eng. Al-Gharabally holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Kuwait University and a master’s degree in business administration from London Business School.
