Saudi Minister of Health visits China to discuss future partnership opportunities in the healthcare sector

Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel, Minister of Health, began an official visit to the People’s Republic of China today, Sunday, with the aim of enhancing joint cooperation in the health field between the two brotherly countries, which contributes to achieving sustainable health welfare for the two countries, and consolidating the Kingdom’s position as a leading country in innovation and health transformation, in accordance with the objectives of the health sector transformation program under the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

During the visit, he will meet a number of senior officials in the Chinese health sector, in addition to an elite group of executives in the fields of biotechnology, digital health, research and development, and members of the Saudi-Chinese Business Council to discuss future partnership opportunities in the healthcare sector. The meetings focus on common priorities in enhancing bilateral cooperation in the field of innovation in healthcare, and based on strategic partnerships that contribute to driving investment, stimulating economic growth, and achieving sustainable development in this vital sector.

The Minister of Health said: “The Kingdom represents a leading global center in digital health and innovation, and this visit reflects our commitment to strengthening international partnerships to address global health challenges. Through our cooperation with China, we aim to develop innovative solutions that contribute to improving global health systems and achieving a better life for communities around the world. The Minister of Health is accompanied on the visit by a delegation that includes a number of national bodies and companies and a number of leaders of the Ministry.
