Saudi Electricity Company is a Gold Partner of the COP16 Combatting Desertification Conference in Riyadh

The Saudi Electricity Company announced its participation as a gold partner for the 16th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (COP16), which will be held in Riyadh from December 2 to 13.
This step comes as part of the company’s commitment to its leading role in supporting global efforts to achieve environmental sustainability, combat desertification, and enhance the preservation and sustainability of natural resources to ensure a prosperous future for future generations.
The conference is expected to be attended by global leaders and decision-makers, along with environmental experts and representatives from various industrial sectors, to discuss sustainable solutions and environmental challenges facing the world. In a statement, the CEO of the Saudi Electricity Company, Engineer Khaled bin Salem Al-Ghamdi, said, “We are proud of our partnership for this global conference, which represents an important platform to unify global efforts in facing environmental challenges, protecting natural resources, and enhancing cooperation with government agencies in these fields. We strive to enhance our investments in environmental preservation in line with our strategy for environmental, social, and corporate governance practices. We also aim to invest in clean and sustainable energy, and work on initiatives that enhance the company’s practices in the circular economy and achieve a comprehensive and sustainable transformation in the energy sector.”
