SAMA awarded 3 sustainability certificates for data center building

The Saudi Central Bank “SAMA” obtained the fourth level gold classification TIER IV Gold from the Uptime Institute after the SAMA data center building located in the King Abdullah Financial Center in Riyadh “SAMA KAFD DC” achieved three certificates that included the design phase, the implementation phase, and the operational sustainability phase.

The “TIER IV Gold” classification is one of the highest levels of operational reliability classification for data centers. The Uptime Institute is a global body specialized in classifying data centers and their standards, and grants its certificates based on the extent of application of standards that classify the extent of operational reliability and operational sustainability of data centers in terms of the continuity of cooling and electrical power efficiency, and environmental responsibility.

This achievement comes to confirm the keenness of the Saudi Central Bank to raise the level of reliability of the operational structures of technical systems; to ensure the continuity of business and technical services, in addition to sensing the environmental responsibility of vital facilities and their impact on the environment in a manner that achieves international and local standards and is in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
