The Royal Commission for Riyadh announced the start of operating the Red Line (King Abdullah Road) and the Green Line (King Abdulaziz Road) of the Riyadh Metro Project, next Sunday, December 15, 2024.
The Red Line includes 15 stations, all of which will be available, while the Green Line includes 12 stations, and will be available except for the Ministry of Finance and National Museum stations.
The Red Line starts from King Fahd Sports City Station to King Saud University and extends for a length of 25.3 kilometers, while the Green Line starts from the Ministry of Education Station to the National Museum and extends for a length of 12.9 kilometers.
The Royal Commission for Riyadh announced the start of operating the Blue, Yellow and Purple Lines of the Riyadh Metro Project on December 1, 2024, which cover densely populated areas, government facilities, commercial activities, educational centers and health facilities.
The total length of the lines that have been operated is 122.9 kilometers, which represents 69.8% of the total length of the seven lines, which is 176 kilometers.
The Riyadh Metro project is a major step towards achieving the goals of Vision 2030 to improve infrastructure and facilitate transportation in Riyadh, meeting the growing needs of residents and visitors.
