The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) raised its global economic growth estimates to 3.3% in 2025, supported by the performance of the United States, according to data released on Wednesday.
Last September, the organization raised its global economic growth estimates as inflation declined and central banks cut interest rates.
The Paris-based organization said that global GDP would grow by 3.2% compared to about 3.1% in its previous forecast, and it also sharply raised its forecasts for Brazil, Britain, Russia, Saudi Arabia and Spain.
The Kingdom received the highest rate in terms of reviewing its economic performance this year, as the organization’s estimates for Saudi economic growth rose by 1.2% compared to last May’s estimates, with expected growth in 2024 reaching 1%.
