Goldman Sachs appoints Omar Al-Zaim as CEO of its operations in the Kingdom

Goldman Sachs has appointed Omar Al-Zaim as CEO of its operations in the Kingdom. Al-Zaim joined Goldman Sachs in 2021 as an executive director at the bank and was appointed a managing director in 2023. He previously worked at HSBC in the Kingdom.

Goldman Sachs obtained a license in May to set up its regional headquarters in Riyadh, and Citigroup also received approval to do so.

A memo, according to Reuters, said that Al-Zaim will continue to work as head of investment banking for Goldman Sachs in the Kingdom.
