Gold rises on slight dollar weakness
Gold rose on Thursday in thin trading due to the Christmas holiday, supported by a slight decline in the dollar.
Spot gold rose 0.5% to $2,626.10 an ounce.
US gold futures rose 0.3% to $2,643.70.
As for other precious metals, silver was steady at $29.6 an ounce, platinum fell 0.8% to $936.41, and palladium fell 1.2% to $942.52.
