European shares fell on Friday, set to end a three-week winning streak as investors sought a clearer picture of the pace of euro zone monetary easing next year amid concerns about slowing economic growth and a potential trade war.
The pan-European STOXX 600 index fell 0.2% by 0807 GMT, looking set to end the week down 0.4%.
Equity markets have been volatile this week as investors digested updates on economic stimulus in China, inflation data from the United States and the euro zone, and the European Central Bank cut interest rates for the fourth time this year on Thursday, according to Reuters.
