U.S. crude oil stockpiles rise, gasoline, distillate inventories fall

The U.S. Energy Information Administration said on Thursday that crude oil stockpiles rose while gasoline and distillate inventories fell in the week to Nov. 8.

It added that crude stockpiles rose by 2.1 million barrels to 429.7 million barrels in the indicated week, compared with analysts’ expectations in a Reuters poll for a rise of 750,000 barrels.

The administration said that crude oil stocks at the Cushing, Oklahoma, delivery hub fell by 688,000 barrels.
