Saudi Arabia plans to invest $100 billion in AI

Data published by Bloomberg indicated that Saudi Arabia plans to invest $100 billion in artificial intelligence during the coming period, which qualifies it to be a global center in the sector.

Earlier, a report confirmed that the Kingdom continues its efforts to achieve its aspirations for global leadership as part of its ambitious vision 2030, which works to keep pace with the transformations that have changed the global competitive landscape and pushed countries and institutions forward to anticipate the future through the developments witnessed by our current era, including data and artificial intelligence technologies that have affected many aspects of our lives, and made the countries of the world move towards adopting these advanced technologies and harnessing all their capabilities and potential to create a sustainable impact and influence through them, including the Kingdom.

The Kingdom, through the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), which was established by royal decree in 2019, has worked to advance in the fields of data and artificial intelligence, invest in its promising opportunities, and build national capabilities in it, after opening unlimited horizons in various development fields such as: education, healthcare, industry, energy, and media, and achieving a better quality of life for people, not to mention ensuring the optimal ethical use of artificial intelligence and avoiding gaps and potential risks for countries and societies in a way that ensures serving all of humanity. The Kingdom seeks, through SDAIA, to continue its progress in the ranks of international indicators in the field of data and artificial intelligence and to provide capabilities related to data and forward-looking capabilities, and enhance them with continuous innovation in the field of artificial intelligence; In order to ensure the Kingdom’s advancement to leadership among economies based on information, data and artificial intelligence, and to consolidate its position as a global model to be emulated, it has worked to enhance the adoption of artificial intelligence in all government agencies and raise the level of services they provide to citizens, residents and visitors, in addition to increasing public awareness about this technology and its outcomes, and pushing the country towards a technologically advanced future driven by the power of data and artificial intelligence.
