European Stoxx 600 index fell at the open, pressured by auto stocks
European STOXX 600 index fell at the open on Wednesday, pressured by auto stocks which fell for a second day, while a sharp drop in French banking shares weighed on the French index. The STOXX index was down 0.2% at 0825 GMT after snapping a three-day winning streak on Tuesday.
