The elite group of 16 members, worth more than $ 100 billion, includes Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, and Microsoft founder Bill Gates.

The 16 members have increased their wealth by more than $ 600 billion this year, and their combined wealth is $ 2.6 trillion.

Walmart heirs Jim, Robbie, and Alice Walton joined the club for the first time in September.

Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Zuckerberg are among a handful of people on the planet whose net worth exceeds $ 100 billion.

Members of this elite group have amassed fortunes in the 12-digit range by owning vast amounts of stock in some of the world’s most valuable companies. Most are current or former founders and CEOs, and some, like Warren Buffett, would be much richer if they hadn’t donated billions to charity.

The 16 people in this exclusive club have a combined net worth of about $2.6 trillion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Their combined wealth is more than Amazon or Google owner Alphabet, which has a market value of about $2.2 trillion each.

All but one of them have gotten richer this year, adding $643 billion to their collective fortunes. Walmart heirs Jim, Ruby and Alice Walton joined the exclusive group in September, thanks to a net worth that has risen by more than $34 billion this year. Individuals with a net worth of at least $100 billion include Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Larry Ellison, Bernard Arnault, Bill Gates, Larry Page, Sergey Brin, Steve Ballmer, Warren Buffett, Jin Sung Hwang, Michelle Dell, Amancio Ortega, Jim Walton, Rob Walton, and Alice Walton.
