China extends tariff exemptions on US goods

The Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council confirmed today that Beijing will continue to grant exemptions from additional tariffs on certain US goods until the end of February next year.

The Chinese Customs Tariff Commission reported that according to a statement issued in April, relevant items coming from the United States have been exempted from counter-tariff measures to counter US measures taken under Section 301 until November 30, 2024.

The commission explained that after the extension, the exemption will continue to be granted until February 28, 2025.
