Sipchem Intends to Stop IPC Plant for Scheduled Maintenance

Sahara International Petrochemical Company (Sipchem) announced on Thursday its intention to stop a scheduled turnaround of the International Polymers Company (IPC) plant (one of Sipchem’s affiliates) for the purpose of conducting scheduled maintenance in line with the standards followed for the necessary periodic and preventive maintenance. This will contribute to raising the level of reliability and achieving the Company’s future operational plans.

The Company expected that this turnaround included in its work plan and budget for the current year would continue for approximately twelve (12) days, starting from Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024.

According to the statement published on “Tadawul,” the financial impact of this turnaround depends on its actual duration during the scheduled periodic maintenance and the average sales prices of the products during the turnaround duration, and this impact will be reflected in the fourth quarter of 2024 results.

Sipchem stated that all necessary precautions have been taken to avoid any impact from this turnaround on its obligations towards customers, in order to fulfill its responsibility towards its customers
