Minister of Economy: The Kingdom will be an important source of renewable energy

Faisal Al-Ibrahim, Minister of Economy and Planning, confirmed that the Kingdom will be an important source of renewable energy away from oil and its derivatives, adding that it is working to maintain its position as a reliable source for providing traditional energy

Al-Ibrahim said, in a session during the Berlin Global Dialogue 2024, entitled “Reshaping the Global Economic Landscape: Opportunities for Developing and Emerging Markets”, that the Kingdom is working to develop this renewable energy sector significantly

He pointed out that the Kingdom is a large part of the global economy currently, as it is an important source of oil, noting that investing in renewable energy is important for the growth of the global economy.
