Gold prices fell on Tuesday on dollar strength, as market participants await a Federal Reserve meeting and economic data to clarify the path of interest rate cuts this year.
Spot gold fell 0.2% to $2,639.45 per ounce, while US gold futures fell 0.3% to $2,658.70.
As for other precious metals, silver fell 0.2% to $31.66 per ounce, platinum rose 0.4% to $976.10, and palladium gained 0.4% to $1,028.00.
