Levan Davitashvili, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Georgia, discussed in the capital Tbilisi today, Thursday, with Hassan bin Mujib Al-Huwaizi, Chairman of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, and the accompanying delegation of investors and representatives of government agencies, the opening of a Georgian bank in the Kingdom to facilitate trade and investment exchanges between the two countries, and raise the level of financial cooperation, which reflects the attractiveness of the Saudi market to international banks.
The two sides agreed to form a joint Saudi-Georgian team to manage economic files between the two countries under the direct supervision of His Excellency, and the head of the Federation of Chambers represents the private sector in the team.
The tasks of the joint Saudi-Georgian team are to work on enhancing inter-trade, attracting Saudi investments to Georgia, overcoming challenges, and presenting initiatives that contribute to raising the level of economic cooperation between the Kingdom and Georgia.
In the context of the visit, the Saudi business delegation met with officials in the Georgian Ministry of Agriculture to discuss promising investment opportunities in the agricultural sector in Georgia and cooperation in the field of food security.
